Sr Systems Administrator II (Hybrid role)

Pacific Life is investing in bright, agile, and diverse talent to contribute to our mission of innovating our business and creating a superior customer experience. We're actively seeking a talented Sr. System Administrator to join our Infrastructure team in Newport Beach, CA.

As a senior VMware/Windows engineer, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success supporting various business organizations and stakeholders in primary and several remote locations. The primary Job location is Newport Beach. A hybrid work schedule will be allowed and please note that this is NOT a fully remote position.

How you will make an impact:

• Solves unique or complex problems that have broad impact on the business thorough critical thinking and automation. Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
• Bring efficiency, creativity, and innovation
• Help the management team with creating a strategic short and long-term roadmap
• interface with internal and external security/audit teams to ensure all server systems are completely secured against any Ransomware or Cyber attacks

The experience you will bring:

• Experience and knowledge with designing, installing and implementing VMware ESX server, virtual center, setting up VMotion, HA, DRS, and related VMware products such as SRM an Aria.
• Experience automating ESX deployments
• PowerShell script or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Strong Windows administration skills including Active Directory, and Group Policy management
• Experience with HPE server blade enclosures and familiarity with storage systems such as NetApp, Pure Storage

What will make you stand out:

• Experience with Hypervisors besides VMware is a plus

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
