Pacific NW Federal Credit Union in NE Portland is seeking a Compliance Specialist to help ensure our organization adheres to internal controls and compliance requirements. This position earns a highly competitive rate of $25 - $29 per hour. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

As a Compliance Specialist, you will be a critical part of our Risk Management team. You will be reporting to the Vice President of Risk Management and working closely with our member-facing departments. Your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting ongoing internal audits and compliance reviews
  • Staying up to date with and analyzing relevant laws and regulations; assisting in the review and updating of impacted policies and procedures
  • Providing education and training to credit union staff on laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures
  • Assisting with case management for BSA, fraud, or suspicious activity

This position offers some flexibility and has the potential for remote work following the initial training and review period.

COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of related experience required, which includes:
  • Experience working in Financial Services and,
  • Experience in an audit-related role (for example, quality control).

COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST WORK SCHEDULE

This position usually works Monday - Friday, regular business hours, with some opportunity to work flexible remote hours following the initial training and review period.
