Position
We are looking for an experienced Network Specialist who wants to join a winning, growth-based company. The Network Engineer is responsible for the implementation and troubleshooting of customer network equipment and services. Our Unified Communications solutions are often accompanied with network switches, router, firewall installations and troubleshooting. We help our customers achieve business success through the proper design, implementation, and support of our solutions.
The successful candidate will possess the technical and troubleshooting skills required for the day to day installation and support of network infrastructure. They must be able to communicate effectively to a wide range of users and provide unparalleled customer service in a fast-paced, vibrant team environment. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and provide sales support and demos to our sales force.
Responsibilities
- Work with sales to determine the best solution for our customers
- Architect and implement network infrastructure for small to large customers
- Provide adequate post-installation documentation
- Managed service/work orders within our ticketing solution
- Support sales engineering team virtual lab environments
- Create customer pilot/proof of concept solutions
- Maintain in-house network infrastructure
- Manage multiple Wi-Fi systems
- Must be willing to travel occasionally and work outside of normal business hours.
- Perform site-surveys
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to travel along west coast
- Understanding of low-voltage systems such as cat5e and cat6
- Experience installing switches, routers and firewalls
- Working knowledge of LLDP/CDP
- Working knowledge of QoS; Expedited Forwarding and Assured Forwarding
- Working knowledge of VLAN’s and network segmentation
- Working knowledge of SIP trunking
- Experience configuring and implementing Next-Gen/UTM firewall technologies
- Strong understanding of VPN technologies
- Ability to display working knowledge of Wireshark
- Experience with Watchguard is a plus
- Experience with SonicWall, Fortinet, Ruckus, Aruba or Adtran is a plus
- Network Security knowledge (CCSP, CISSP) is a plus
- Networking skills including protocol and compliance knowledge required
- Exceptional team-related skills
- 3 years of experience in a similar role required
- CCNA or equivalent required
