Summary The function of this job is to support the Repair Planning Collision department, parts department, production floor, and scheduling by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (in no particular order); other duties may be assigned.
  • Works directly on the shop floor with estimating heavy collision repair jobs.
  • .Creates, reviews and verifies accuracy of estimate package,includes collecting the customer’s information, taking photos of vehicle damage needed to accurately write the estimate.
  • Communicates with vendors to obtain part quotes.
  • Serves as a liaison between fleet management/insurance companies and production.
  • Performs administrative tasks in Mitchell Connect, Adjustrite, CCC, QuickBooks, and SmartSheet
  • Creates supplement estimates and coordinates approval customer and insurance approval.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of QuickBooks Accounting software; Web-based Database software; SmartSheet, Excel Spreadsheet software, Word Word Processing software, and Outlook Email software.

Ability to organize and successfully communicate large amounts of information to the appropriate employees, customers, and departments is critical to the success of this position.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
