Pacific West Construction is looking to hire immediately an Accounting Clerk preferably with a background in commercial construction.
Company Description:
PWCS (Pacific West Construction Services) is a licensed general building and engineering contractor who prides itself in delivering exceptional quality construction of commercial buildings including multi-family construction and renovations, industrial tilt-ups, life science buildings, shopping centers, restaurants, religious buildings as well as public projects, and various specialty builds throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.
Responsibilities Include:
- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
- Fulfill full-cycle A/P (retrieving invoice approvals, matching invoices to purchase orders, and posting for payments)
- Obtaining proper approvals to pay invoices, ensuring proper authorized signatures on invoices before cutting checks
- Daily issuance of Purchase Orders
- Responds to all vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests; resolves invoice discrepancies.
- Processes and oversee expense reimbursements, including Brex credit card statement reconciliation.
- W9/1099 tracking and reporting
- Ensures proper authorization and documentation are received prior to vendor payment
- Verify, log and print/send checks, including facilitating special handling
- Secure proper payment approvals from superintendents to process invoices.
- Prepares accounts payable aging report for weekly check disbursements and reviews check run proposal with approval from Controller.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Quickbooks Online
- Proficient knowledge of excel, word, and outlook
- 1 or more years of experience in the accounting field, preferably in the commercial construction industry
- Experience with construction management software- builder trend a plus
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
