Activity Director

Pacifica Senior Living is looking for an Activities Director to join our team!

The Activities Director will be responsible for planning and organizing a variety of engaging programs and events tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for working with seniors, and a talent for creating inclusive and stimulating activities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, organize, plan, implement and evaluate a well-rounded and stimulating holistic activity program; which addresses the needs and limitations of residents.
• Coordinate activities and events for a 200 bed Assisted Living Community.
• Assess the needs of the residents. Observes when a resident's needs have changed and create an activity plan to encompass the changes.
• Design and post creative monthly bulletin boards and activities calendar.
• Lead large group activities, e.g. discussion groups, sing-a-longs, and exercise classes.
• Help manage the facilities volunteer program
• Manage staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs
• Needs to be computer savvy and able to work within the budget.

Required:

• 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• First Aid Certification
• Communicate effectively verbally and non-verbally.
• Operate a VCR, DVD, and stereo system.

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
