Shipping Clerk

Duties:
- Receive and process incoming shipments
- Verify and inspect incoming materials against purchase orders or invoices
- Accurately record all received items into the AS400 or MRP system
- Unload trucks and move materials to designated storage areas using a pallet jack or other equipment
- Stock shelves and organize inventory in an efficient manner
- Pick and pack orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Use RF scanners to track inventory movement and update system records
- Operate order picker equipment to retrieve items from high shelves or racks
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for outgoing shipments
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations in the shipping and receiving department

Qualifications:
- Basic math skills for accurate counting and measuring
- Experience with AS400 or MRP systems preferred, but not required
- Ability to load and unload heavy items, up to 50 pounds, using proper lifting techniques
- Familiarity with RF scanners and order picker equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain inventory control and efficient storage practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms is beneficial
