Mechanical Assembly Technician

paco manufacturing (a Precision Automation company) is looking for a skilled & motivated candidate for an immediate opening in our manufacturing department. This is a full-time position in our machine shop. We are looking for an individual that has a wide range of skills and/or the willingness to perform assembly operations as well as several support functions throughout our shop floor.

paco manufacturing, established in Southern Indiana for 71 years, specializes in Custom Machinery Builds, Fabrication, Machining and Contract Manufacturing. We are looking for an individual to join our team to assist in the production of quality equipment and components.

The successful applicant will need to have capabilities to perform the following Job Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Blueprint reading for Mechanical Assembly with the Capabilities of Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatics considered to be a plus.

· Understanding of Component and Assembly fit up Tolerancing.

· Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic components and assembly.

· Ability to read Basic Measuring Instruments including Rules, Dial Calipers and Micrometers to check Components when required.

· Basic Machine Shop Skills and knowledge.

· Hand Tools and Toolbox. (Roll Around preferred)

· Capability to follow directions and work independently as well as in a Team environment.

· Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.).

· Proficiency with English language

· Attention to deal

Some examples of varying operations that may be asked of this individual include:

· Operate small overhead crane for loading, unloading of Steel Trucks, and loading of saws.

· Ability Read Saw Cut Sheets and saw raw material to size required. Requires the use of Hydmech CNC Saw, Horizontal Band Saws, Cold Saw, and vertical Band saw. (Materials consist of Steel, Aluminum, Plastics etc.).

· Operate Fork truck safely.

· Assist with Shipping / Receiving needs.

· Build Skids / Boxes for shipments of machined components with limited direction.

· Operate CNC Machines if needed.

· Deliveries and pickups to/from local customers and suppliers.

· Light Building Maintenance experience and Spray Painting are considered a plus.
