We are seeking an experienced Payroll Director who can oversee and manage all aspects of our payroll processes and systems within our company. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of payroll transactions, tax filings, and reporting. You will also supervise and mentor an amazing team, collaborate with other departments and external partners, and develop and implement payroll policies and best practices. Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the payroll operations and activities for the company, including payroll processing, tax filing, reporting, auditing, and reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Manage and maintain payroll systems and software, ensuring data integrity, security, and functionality
  • Monitor and analyze payroll metrics and trends, ensure payroll reports and dashboards utilized by Senior Management are accurate and reliable
  • Review and approve payroll adjustments, corrections, and special payments, and resolve any payroll issues or discrepancies
  • Lead a team of payroll professionals, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluation
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with other departments, such as HR, finance, IT, and legal, as well as external vendors and service providers
  • Research and implement payroll best practices, policies, and procedures, and ensure continuous improvement and efficiency of payroll processes and systems
  • Stay updated on the latest payroll trends, technologies, and regulations, and provide training and guidance to the payroll team and other staff as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of payroll experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices, both domestic and international
  • Proficient in payroll systems and software (experience with Workday and ADP SmartCompliance is strongly preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
