Position Description
Position: Restoration Court Case Manager II
Department: Restoration Court
Work Schedule: Fulltime
Reports To: Director, Porter County PACT/Restoration Court Director

Duties
- Adhere to guidelines regarding confidentiality
- To the extent possible, work with client families, employers and other support persons to assist clients in developing the skills to acquire and maintain prosocial relationships
- Engage in prosocial modeling in all interactions with the clients and in work-related functions
- Apply incentives, sanctions and therapeutic adjustments in accordance with agency policy
- Conduct client orientation and validated risk and needs assessments
- Inform the court/team of individuals’ appropriateness for participation
- Refer clients to certified mental health and alcohol and drug programs for evaluations and recommended services and/or treatment as applicable
- Develop a case plan based on IRAS assessment results and collateral information
- Conduct case management meetings with clients
- Attend court sessions
- Prepare written reports for the program team regarding client progress
- Provide the program team with recommendations regarding incentives, sanctions, phase advancement, graduation and termination
- Maintain participant files, following agency policy and federal and state guidelines
- Document all interaction with (and regarding) clients in each client’s record in accordance with agency policy
- Adhere to varying work schedules as needed
- Travel for purposes related to program integrity and professional development
- Engage in ongoing professional development training, at minimum meeting initial and ongoing credentialing and training requirements established in the program policies and procedures manual and the Problem-Solving Court Rules
- Perform drug screens
- Assist with data collection and compilation of reports as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university required
- Experience in dealing with mental illness required
- Experience in a criminal justice setting required
- Demonstrated ability to identify and work with community resources
- Knowledge of evidence-based principles and practices preferred
- Excellent written communication skills required
- Excellent verbal communication skills required
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups
- Excellent organizational skills required
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to operate a computer, printer, telephone, calculator, fax machine and copier
- Adherence to the Judicial Code of Conduct required
