About the role:

Pacvue is looking to add a Sr Manager/Director of Business Intelligence to our IT team. The IT team is responsible for Global IT Support, Business Systems, IT Procurement, and IT Security.

The Sr Manager/Director of Business Intelligence will be a data-driven leader who gathers and delivers the BI solutions and insights the company will need to make critical business decisions. A successful candidate will have strong technical and business acumen, as well as great problem solving, social, skills, creativity, detailed oriented, and leadership skills. This is a leadership position that requires exceptional communication and collaboration skills together with deep data knowledge and experience in designing robust reporting operations. The position works with key stakeholders to understand their needs and implement processes to support reporting deliverables, on time, with a high degree of accuracy.

As part of this role, this person will interact with a broad set of managers and executives across our G&A teams (including Accounting, Finance, Marketing, IT, HR) to support their decision-making and create a strategic vision of reporting excellence within the organization and establishing best practices. This includes but not limited to leading and participating in requirements gathering sessions, design workshops, systems evaluations and managing a team of high performing employees.

In addition, this role will be responsible for partnering with our Engineering/Data Teams who support our Production data and system requirements.

 Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Business/G&A data & analytics function
  • Develop, propose and execute on analytics initiatives and roadmaps to ensure data best practices
  • Oversee the design and implementation of data models and analytics solutions
  • Working with data engineers, analysts and various business users to identify process improvement opportunities and propose system modifications.
  • Implementing measures to ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the organization
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data management and analytics
  • Be a key player in leadership discussions, create value by measuring and interpreting business strategies; providing actionable recommendations to capitalize on those insights; standardizing common metrics and reporting; and developing/deploying new tools and data products.
  • Lead the effort to become a data-driven culture by ensuring the team has the tools and capabilities to become more data savvy
  • Collaborate with business leaders and end users to define requirements for new technology and reporting solutions, focused on helping to identify opportunities to drive business results
  • Partner with change management and procurement resources to drive adoption of new BI solutions across the business by identifying findings and presenting recommendations to business leaders on opportunities to drive results and improve decision-making
  • Operationalize insights through development of dashboards, tools and processes
  • Develop actionable recommendations and communicate them in an easy to digest manner
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines and working productively

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4 years as a Business Intelligence leader with a track record of delivering value-added executive level dashboards
  • 10 years of experience in data management, analytics, or a related field
  • Highly skilled in communicating and presenting results to executives as well as speaking deeply about data/statistics
  • Knowledge of data management best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven insights and driving business growth
  • Experience with data integration and business intelligence tools
  • Excellent communicator with verbal, written, technical and presentation skills that can motivate and influence partners and stakeholders, both internal and external to the team
  • Curiosity and desire to question the status quo
  • Strategic hands-on thinker and problem solver who is willing and able to roll up their sleeves and get into the data to drive results
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and lead multiple work assignments with high standards in a fast-paced environment
  • Be a big picture thinker with an innovative mindset, coupled with a track record for creating solutions that are efficient, effective, and essential
