Role and Responsibilities
The role of the Accountant includes assisting with payroll, accounting, and taxes:
• Process Payrolls and Quarterly Reports
• Working with accounting applications to deliver timely statements for clients
• Assisting with tax preparation
• Sharing in administrative duties amongst other staff
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin or Accounting (can be working towards degree.) Preferred but not required.
- Quickbooks certified (Preferred but not required.)
- CPA or EA (or be willing to move toward it.)
Preferred Skills
- Great Communication Skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Empathy. Both with clients and coworkers.
- Basic Computer Skills
- Willingness to help the team in the office/be flexible.
- Financial analysis, reporting, and general accounting principles (preferred.)
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements (preferred.)
- Proficiency in using accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
- Knowledgeable in Adobe PDF.
- A desire to grow professional Expertise.
