Range Mechanic

Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World Range Mechanic Amentum is seeking a Range Mechanic in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Range Mechanic performs major repairs on foreign and domestic standard and non-standard small arms weapons. Job Requirements: Build either custom pistols or rifles with little or no supervision Possesses excellent knowledge of gun-smiting tools and procedures Possesses moderate knowledge of firearms operating principles and ballistics. Fabricate special jigs, fixtures and other special tooling with some supervision, Read and understand blueprint drawings, and can work from those drawings under direct supervision Perform as primary instructor on most standard and non-standard small arms weapon systems. Minimum Requirements: High school Diploma or GED Computer literacy preferred Has a thorough understanding of firearm operation principles Has a moderate knowledge of internal/external ballistic theories Must posses a factory Armorer's courses of small arms Must posses an active government issued clearance at time of application Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
