Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World Senior Continuous Improvement Manager Principal Accountabilities · Bring in new thinking, question existing ways, and push boundaries to solve business problems. · Proactive thinking to assess what potential problems can be solved through existing, emerging, and transformative technologies. · Bring a strategic mindset with an ability to critically analyze, logically structure and execute on details, while remaining flexible in an evolving and ambiguous environment. · Apply established tools, frameworks and methodologies to support the business decision-making process. · Identify and implement ISO 9001, AS9100, Lean Six Sigma, and PMBOK best practices. · Assist in establishing processes for business leaders to measure, manage, track, and report operational project results and corresponding financial business benefits. · Identify, lead, and manage process improvement efforts and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of process effectiveness using LSS methods. · Leverage established continuous improvement methodologies (i.e., Lean and Six Sigma) to map current state processes and value streams including process profiles, timings, counts, roles and responsibilities along with other key data elements. · Provide updates regarding progress of Continuous Improvement activities. · Assist in developing communications to the various organizational stakeholders regarding the Continuous Improvement value proposition to drive improved business performance. · Assist in creating and implementing an approach to measure the organization’s capability in learning and applying Continuous Improvement techniques. · Assist in maintaining the Continuous Improvement Team’s enterprise Project Management discipline and framework. · Prepare and submit deliverables on schedule, in accordance with requirements · Support new business proposals requiring solutions for continuous improvement, risk management, performance management, and/or quality management. · Work with business leaders and program managers, assisting them to define and report on current state performance, recommended future state, improvement opportunities, and current and future state benefits. · Deliver breakthrough changes via Kaizen Events and Continuous Improvement Workouts. · Identify innovations, map future process states, establish cost efficiencies and prepare and present business cases. · Document Architecture design, Communication/interfaces, Technical Details, Database Schemas. · Experience of driving Automation projects using various technologies (RPA, PowerApps, UI Path, Power Automate and Power BI) · Providing solutions for reporting and analysis using Power BI and Power Platform tools. · Enhance and optimize existing solutions with the aim of increased automation and superior user satisfaction · Co-develop new innovative solutions using latest technologies. Performing rigorous detailed analysis, resolution of issues and data quality check · Preparing test cases and executing the test cases. Ensuring the quality of the solutions provided to the Stakeholders and adhering to the project plan. · Keep stakeholders updated. Assisting in user acceptance test, troubleshooting and end-user support · Documentation on technical specification, user guidelines and provide end-user trainings. This includes process improvement initiatives in a fragmented IT landscape. · Excellent leadership, interpersonal and collaboration skills with the proven ability to effectively supervise, mentor and influence employees · Possess analytical and problem-solving skills · Strong leadership qualities to work within a matrix business model, deal with ambiguity, and to solve business problems that create shareholder value. · Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline driven, and dynamic environment · Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze processes and make recommendations for improvements · Proficiency in Change Management techniques · Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis and problem solving, and Statistical Process Control · Highly proficient in project management · Excellent skills in MS Office products including Excel (Power Query, lookups, if statements, macros, dashboard building, graphing, visualization) · Advanced knowledge of Power BI and MS Power Platforms · Power BI Report/dashboard development with sense of storytelling and visually appealing (look and feel) · End to end automation of PBI Dashboard – scheduling and Maintenance · Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI . · Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence. · Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals. · Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI. · Should have an edge over making DAX queries in Power BI desktop. Experience & Education · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, Business, or related field; experience may be substituted for degree · 8 years of experience in project management (5 years with Master's degree) · 8 years of experience in data analysis, continuous improvement, quality management, risk management, or performance management (5 years with Master's degree) · 3 years of experience providing Power BI solutions. · Must have a Blackbelt certification or be able to obtain one within a year of hire. · Active Secret clearance or better preferred · Experience covering specification, design, development, or implementation of Power BI Solutions. · Strong user experience skills and able to provide right advice to the business. · Proficient on working with complex data models and different schemas. · Understanding of SQL and relational databases · Experience in working on strategic projects within a shared services environment but also with the Business Unit leadership teams · Good experience with application management and support processes · Understanding of application of serverless cloud concepts using Azure functions. · Understanding of C# and JavaScript is preferred · Ability to obtain AS9100 lead auditor certification. Work Location/Travel The role is expected to travel periodically. In pre-pandemic days, travel was an average 25%, occasionally reaching 50%. In the current period, travel is minimal with focus on teleconferencing. There is an eventual potential for occasional, infrequent international travel. Living location is flexible but should have convenient access to an airport. Must be willing and able to operate in US Eastern Time Zone standard business hours, regardless of home time zone.
