What are the responsibilities and job description for the People Partner position at Pagaya?
About the Role
The People Partner role will provide overall strategic human resources support across Pagaya’s US offices. This includes but is not limited to organizational design, talent and performance management, leadership and career development, retention, engagement and compensation. The role will be based in NYC and report to the Head of People Partners team
Responsibilities
- Work closely with business teams to understand business priorities and trends that impact people strategy, including workforce needs, organizational design and talent.
- Talent Management - partner with leaders to design and deliver talent strategies that enable assessment, development, retention and action planning and also promote a learning environment.
- Organizational Design and effectiveness - work with department leaders to ensure we are aligning strategy, skills, structure, and people in a way that optimizes performance; facilitate change management efforts. Create and analyze workforce trends and key demographics
- Performance Management - partner with employees and managers to support and manage performance
- Manage compensation activities with business leaders including YE compensation reviews and communication strategy; review benchmarking and market data to identify trends
- Partner closely with other key stakeholders on People Team:
- CoEs (eg recruiting, employee relations) to provide expertise and integrated and seamless employee experience.
- Global People Partner team to support key global people initiatives and programs as well as global business engagement
- Facilitate offboarding of voluntary leavers by conducting exit interviews, capturing themes and working with managers to address as needed; provide support to ER with involuntary terms
- Demonstrate ownership to develop and drive People Programs and processes from start to finish and deliver meaningful results to the business
Requirements
- 8 years of work experience in People/HR Partner roles, preferably in a high-growth fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, proven ability to partner across diverse stakeholders
- Proven experience in leading highly commercial talent strategies, providing coaching and talent and performance management, all while driving a client centric approach across the business
- A self-starter with a solutions-oriented and consultative mindset and ability to work independently
- Proven ability to think strategically and commercially, with strong execution skills
- Strong analytical and technical skills - comfortable working with data, and extracting insights
- Continuous learner with flexible mindset who has demonstrated the ability to be nimble and creative thinker within an ever evolving and dynamic organization
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA or Masters preferred
