Sanitizer

Sanitizer General Description:

The Sanitizer will disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble processing equipment. Performs cleaning in accordance with established guidelines and specifications, and ensures equipment is operational for production runs. Follow all procedures so that sanitations are done aseptically, and documentation is accurate. Has good attendance, the ability to work any shift, extended hours, and weekends, the ability to follow procedures & instructions, and continually evaluate the methods used to find improvements that benefit the company.

Responsibilities:

• Review production schedule with shift supervisor for upcoming sanitations
• Clean and sanitize fill systems, tanker unload, and auxiliary equipment
• Maintain and document required sanitation documentation, including sanitize procedure, sanitation tag, micro swabs, fill cart layout, and turn into production supervisor
• Maintain and document good housekeeping throughout the using complete and accurate records.
• Document fill systems used for various products, including type, nozzles, size, fill cart used
• Effectively communicate with all other departments.
• Review all paperwork daily for accuracy.
• Maintain sanitation room daily, cleaning, spills, equipment, and parts
• Maintain weekly inventory of all parts and communicate to Maintenance supervisor parts needed
• Trains all other sanitation personnel on procedures
• Follow all SOP, GMP and FDA rules and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Three or more years experience working in a sanitation department is preferred.
• Experience cleaning production, manufacturing, or processing equipment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and best practices.
• Attention to detail and a high level of cleanliness standards.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of computer applications.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
• Ability to perform math functions such as adding/subtracting, multiplying/dividing.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.
• Requires walking and standing for lengthy periods of time.
• Able to work in a chemical & wet environment.
• Requires bending, twisting, pulling, pushing and climbing of stairs.
• Ability to work in hot wet environment.
• Ability to wear all safety gear including, latex gloves, non-slip shoes, heat gloves, aprons, face shields, and wet suit.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
