The Speech and Language Pathologist performs evaluations, interprets evaluation results and develops a treatment plan in conjunction with treatment team. Treatment of speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive and swallowing disorders provided in a variety of hospital settings. Patient and caregiver education and carry-over training.
Qualifications
- Masters degree - Required
- Doctoral degree - Preferred
Certification/Licensure
- Certificate of clinical Competency - Preferred
- Eligible for Texas State Licensure - Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - must obtain within 30 days of hire date
- Handle With Care - must obtain within 30 days of hire date
- Vital Stim Certification - Preferred
- Speech-language Pathologist License in the State of Texas
