Director of Training - Based out of Seattle, WA
The role will support multiple restaurant concepts including: Skates on the Bay, Palisade, Maggie Bluffs, Horatio's, Kincaid's, Henry's Tavern, Cutters Crabhouse, Portland City Grill, Scott's Bar & Grill, Stanley & Seafort's, Simon & Seafort's and Clinkerdagger
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Starting as a FOH manager for 6-8 weeks to learn systems and then transition into the Director role
- Develop, maintain, and revise materials and systems for hourly employee, Supervisor, and Management training programs
- Implement training and development programs for hourly employees, Supervisors, MIT’s, and Managers
- Supervise participants in MIT program from orientation to completion by tracking, reviewing, and validating completion of all program components
- Maintain records and prepare statistical reports to evaluate performance and monitor progress of trainees
- Administer Supervisor Growth Program from application through completion by coordinating communication and paperwork completion, follow-up and validation calls, and final sign-off on program completion interview
- Participate in new restaurant openings by creating specialized training materials, collaborating with operations regarding opening calendar, and providing on-site training and operational support as needed
- Execute store/site visits to perform training and operational audits, inspections, process improvement observations, and provide detailed written reports for review by regional leadership team
- Facilitate classroom sessions to include Train-The-Trainer, Management and employee development workshops, seminars, and various additional training sessions as needed.
- Assist with menu rollouts and changes by creating training materials, partnering with Operations and Culinary leadership
- Collaborate with multiple departments/divisions for new projects and initiatives.
- Meet training department and project deadlines as set forth by Concept Senior Vice President and Vice President of Training
- Travel on a regular basis is required
- Skilled in needs assessment and development of appropriate training programs
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong organizational and multiple-tasking skills
- Detail oriented and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three years of recent training program design and administration experience, preferably in restaurant industry
- Minimum two years restaurant operations management experience
