We manufacture innovative shelter systems that are used in disaster relief, homeless transitional housing, and temporary worker housing.

Job Summary:

In this role you will fabricate and assemble panels which when assembled together become shelters used to house unsheltered people. Work involves developing skills necessary in manufacturing to build a high quality, cost effective finished product. Your skills and expertise will evolve over time but will begin with the following responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

You will:

• Learn how to safely operate power equipment (saws, drills, rivet guns, etc.)

• Show that you can safely and effectively use hand tools (wrenches, screw drivers, knives)

• Show that you can effectively use measuring equipment (tape measures, weigh scales, etc.)

• Learn how to read and understand drawings, work instructions (either written or verbal) to assemble shelters.

• Learn how to do in-process quality checks as well as quality checks of the assembled product.

• Learn how to understand and adhere to workflow, work documentation, continuous flow and lean manufacturing techniques.

• Learn what safety equipment (PPE) and safe practices to utilize at each workstation.

• Learn how to be aware of your environment and work in a safe way including keeping your work area clean and organized.

Requirements

Must have requirements for this role:

• Be able to read to understand directions and write to complete simple paperwork.

• Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs many times throughout the day.

• Ability to take and pass a pre-employment drug test and willingness to submit to regular randomized drug testing

Education and Experience:

Required

• None

Bonus points for:

• OSHA Certification in basic construction safety.

• CPR Certified.

Physical Requirements:

• You will be required to lift up to 50lbs multiple times a day

Physical Work Conditions

• Wear safety attire or protective gear on a daily basis according to specific job requirements, steel toed shoes and safety glasses are mandatory. • Usually work indoors. The site may not be temperature controlled. • Often exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. • Are exposed to hazardous equipment on a weekly basis. • Are sometimes exposed to contaminants. • May share workspace with others

PAY RANGE

The base pay range for this position is $20.39 - $21.50 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location.
