Pallet One in Shipshewana Indiana are looking for Class A CDL LOG HAULING drivers.
A log haulers daily job is to...well...
First thing! Admire yourself for being a freaking LOG HAULER! Seriously, driving a semi-truck is cool and all but to also add some mudding around in a giant front loader, loading your own logs. Oh! and operating the really NARLY ROUGH and TOUGH SKID LOADER.....Big Foot, Grave Digger, and whatever else so called monster truck will all shake in their hubs caps to the sight of our monsters.
So, step out of that normal daily on-the-road SNOREFEST! Get out of that cab! Get Dirty! Breath in that cool wilderness breeze! BRAG TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE ABOUT WHAT YOU DO FOR A LIVING..(Its okay, Log Haulers are actually accepted in any culture, anywhere to be able to brag about themselves at any time of the day, this is known throughout the land.)
Okay, Okay... Seriously... A Log Haulers daily activity involves the obvious pre-trip inspection, then dispatching out to our work site log landing areas where they load their own logs, (using front loaders). They then haul all logs back to the Pallet One log yard in Shipshewana. Log Haulers will perform this multiple times a day, in a rotation with other drivers. Also, we issue you your own truck and bunk trailer, so you don't have to share with others. Feel free to gaze at yourself from time to time in the mirror. I mean, you are a Log Hauler for crying out loud!
This is a fast-paced job, that requires someone with motivation, and problem-solving abilities. Don't worry though, you don't have to have experience hauling logs or operating front loaders, we will train you.

Class A CDL Truck Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck
- Properly track and document activity log
- Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
- Inspect Truck before and after tips
- Properly load and secure logs with-in weight requirements.
- Ability to learn and operate Loaders and other heavy equipment.
- Ability to assess risks and potential issues when entering and exiting worksites.
Class A CDL Truck Driver Qualifications:
- Excellent safety record preferred.
- Previous experience in truck driving
- Class A CDL driver's license
- Ability to handle physical workload: climbing ladders, cranking landing gear, throwing chains, etc.
- Strong work ethic
- Able to pass DOT physical and Road Test
- Have a minimum of 1 year of driving experience is desired but not mandatory.
