Position Title: CNC and Assembly Supervisor
Position Reports To: Innovation Center Manager
Location: Mocksville, NC
Job Summary
The primary function of the CNC and Assembly Supervisor is to direct the day-to-day operations of two specific areas within the Innovation Center – the CNC wood milling operations and the pallet assembly operations. This includes adhering to the mission of the Palltronics Innovation Center which is the advance manufacturing center for the Company.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Direct a workforce of general labor associates.
- Maintain compliance with all OSHA regulations, including the safety practices of the Company.
- Assist in the design and execution of CNC cutting tooling and maintenance of such tooling.
- Keep general appearance of the equipment and work environment in line with world class manufacturing principles.
- The preferred candidate has knowledge of wood species as it relates to CNC milling.
- Report all accidents, whether personal injury or property damage, as soon as possible to the Innovation Center Manager.
- Carry out all assignments expeditiously given by the Innovation Center Manager.
- Apply CNC knowledge in day-to-day operations of the wood cutting process.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts for all raw and work in process materials.
- Conduct time studies on manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent GED certification
- Preferred: Undergraduate degree from an accredited university
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience
- Knowledge of CNC Wood Machining equipment and the operations of such equipment
- Knowledge of manufacturing concepts and processes
- Experience in deploying and executing solid Preventative Maintenance programs
- Knowledge of health and safety work practices
- Experience in basic cycle count inventory methodologies and data collection
- Experience in conducting time studies and data collection and data analysis
Preferred Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience
- Knowledge of dust collection systems
- The preferred candidate has knowledge of wood species as it relates to CNC milling
- The ability to think out of box and bring continuous improvement ideas to fruition
- Knowledge of world class manufacturing or lean manufacturing principles
Skills / Abilities
· Good Communication Skills
· Good Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
