Job description
Palmetto Propane is a family owned Propane, Refined Fuels, and Ice Company, currently expanding and searching for a Service Tech Field Supervisor in West Columbia, South Carolina. The candidate must be comfortable with the hands-on aspects of propane operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform Service work/installations while adhering to safety codes and performing proper documentation
- Meeting with customers and scoping potential job sites for installation. Communicate to salesperson if needed.
- Set goals for performance that comply with company’s vision and communicate them to subordinates
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
- Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
- Decide on reward and promotion based on performance
- Hire and train new employees
- Ensure adherence to safety and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises
Requirements:
- Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role
- Familiarity with company policies and safety guidelines of the field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- High school diploma; BS/BA in management or relevant discipline is a plus
