Palouse Power, LLC is an Electric Utility Construction General Contractor, with offices in Quincy, Washington and Rathdrum, Idaho. We focus on overhead and underground transmission and distribution line construction, greenfield and brownfield substation utility projects, and associated work for our customers (private and public utilities, municipal and federal projects, and private companies) in the Pacific Northwest — Washington, Idaho and Oregon.
Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Project Manager at Palouse Power’s Rathdrum, Idaho office. Travel will be limited in this role, mainly for training opportunities.
The Associate Project Manager (APM) works closely with the Project Management Team and Executives to effectively support the overall success of all sizes of projects and programs. The APM also works to ensure safe work practices, quality installations, schedules, and budgets for profitable projects and:
- Assist with managing all aspects of project documentation including RFPs, contracts, submittals, transmittals, RFIs, project agenda creation and recording meeting minutes.
- Assist with supervision and directing project activities as assigned by the Senior PM including planning and coordinating, circumventing / resolving problem areas, ensuring all company / project policies, procedures and standards are maintained, etc.
- Assist with the maintenance of all change order, submittal and document control logs within Sharepoint software.
- Assist Senior PM and PM with interactions with subcontractors to make certain that we have obtained and filed the correct documentation and drawings for the Owner.
- Responsible for updating institutional process assets and maintaining job files under the direction of the Senior PM.
- Assume total project supervision responsibilities in the absence of, or lack of capacity of, the Senior PM or PM.
- Assist with establishing workflow breakdowns in conjunction with Field Supervisors and Project Management Team.
- Assist with ensuring project billings are accurate and submitted timely, weekly, monthly, and per contract documents.
- Responsible for assisting in writing, submission, and tracking of quality RFIs.
- Responsible for assisting PM team to ensure timely payment to subcontractors and vendors.
- Review and update status of construction schedules as per request of Senior PM.
- Assist Project Management team with the setup of project budgets in conjunction with Field Supervisor
- Work with Payroll department to ensure accurate Payroll information has been submitted
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in project coordination and/or project management
- Project planning experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- A.A. or A.A.S. In business, construction
- Management, or a related field is preferred.
- CAPM certification is preferred.
- Experience in the power industry is a plus.
- Able to read and basic understanding of electrical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to understand contract requirements and contractor estimates.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
