Outreach Worker - Recovery Navigator Program

Palouse River Counseling is seeking an Outreach Worker for the Recovery Navigator Program. The position will provide outreach services throughout Whitman County to referred individuals. Outreach workers will utilize intensive case management, recovery support and collaboration with local community partners, service providers, housing providers and other community resources and embrace a philosophy of "Harm Reduction." The Outreach workers will work a variable schedule.

Responsibilities include lived experience of recovery or the criminal justice system, support the use of recovery tools and model successful recovery behaviors; assist referred individuals in the process of recovery; Advocate for the individual served with recovery support services, legal system and other community resources; provide information and training in appropriate life skills; assist in the development of information and support networks and connect with peers and the community. Effective communication, "can do" attitude, and computer literacy are required.

Qualifications: Must have lived experience with Substance Use Disorder, and/or the Criminal Justice System, and/or Mental Health. Must be 21 years of age. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral science preferred. Must have one to two years of active recovery and able to demonstrate it. Must have experience working with community behavioral health preferred. Must pass a satisfactory background check. Must possess a valid Washington Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $41,204.00 per year
