PAM Transport is looking for a Facilities Manager at their Laredo terminal! In this role you will play an integral part in ensuring that the workspace is safe, organized, and functional.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Performing clerical support, maintaining files, prepare digital documents and reports.
- Communicating with existing or potential vendors/contractors regarding proposals or issues.
- Maintaining a variety of department’s data base programs.
- Backing up other Facilities Maintenance staff as needed.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Collect and analyze usage and cost data for utilities.
- Assist with special event planning, setup, and cleanup.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Administrative and office support.
- Using Microsoft Office programs to create, update, and maintain digital files for all locations.
- Updating and maintaining department manuals and emergency plans for all facilities.
- Maintaining inventories of break room supplies and meeting supplies.
- Plans and organizes the day-to-day operations and reliability of PAM facilities maintenance activities, including heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, emergency systems, and building exteriors and interiors.
- Monitors preventative maintenance processes and facility inspection processes for on-going review of maintenance work.
- Performing a variety of internet research functions.
- Researching for office furniture.
- Researching supply products for best cost.
- Research of items and products needed for projects.
- Maintaining a variety of department data base programs.
- Assist in monitoring Fedex Account: maintain the data base, assign and delete users.
- Assist in monitoring and updating all supply ordering data bases: Staples, Roark Forms.
- Tracking utility usage and cost for all locations.
- Maintain the departments Capital Asset File.
- Ordering of Facilities Maintenance Department products and monitoring inventory levels, and back up for ordering and tracking of office supplies and usage.
- Maintaining Inventory, controlling the disposals, and maintaining all records for the disposal of florescent lamps at all locations.
- Back up other Facilities Maintenance Staff, including retrieving mail, processing incoming and outgoing mail and shipments, and running errands
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and general office equipment.
- Good communications and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a team or to work independently to support the group effort.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
