Night Shop Supervisor

PAM Transport is looking to add a Night Shift Supervisor to our Laredo Shop! This shift is Monday-Friday 2pm-Midnight. This position would manage and oversee the night maintenance operations for the purpose of maximizing vehicle up-time, controlling costs, improving shop efficiency, workforce retention, and ensure its overall quality.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service through effective communication
• Manage work order status to promote efficiency and productivity of workload
• Complete repair orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Improve vehicle uptime through efficient repair practices
• Effectively manage assigned shift maintenance operation
• Develop management and technical skills of maintenance personnel
• Reduce workforce turnover by improving employee relations
• Oversee night parts request and tire inventory
• Conduct at least 2-3 Quality Inspections a day, to verify proper repairs have been made and quality of repairs

Minimum Qualifications:

• College or Technical school level degree in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance or Diesel Technology preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum five years of experience in maintenance management and repair
• Effective team building abilities
• Accepts responsibility and meets expectations for own work
• Knowledge of DOT standards of repairs and maintenance
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations regarding terminal facility
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Physical Abilities:

• Differentiates sounds in order to inspect and maintain equipment
• Standing, sitting, bending, stooping, walking, and climbing stairs
• Move, lift, carry, and places parts and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to perform daily tasks in extremely hot and cold environments
• Visually inspects equipment.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Operate a motor vehicle or other large power equipment within tight spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
