What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Counselor position at PAMCO CARE?
PAMCO Care is a state-licensed agency that provides group home services in North Carolina. PAMCO Care has provided group home services for 8 years in Virginia and 4 years in North Carolina. Shifts are 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am. We are looking for PRN staff.
(Duties vary by shift)
- Support medication administration; take an accurate count of controlled medications and administer medications at the prescribed times.
- Complete proper documentation of data and incident reports of behavior plans and other assigned paperwork before the end of shift.
- Assist clients with work and social activities, personal hygiene, personal care, housekeeping, meal preparation, money management, and behavioral needs.
- Assist clients with implementation of their Plan, and support progress towards goals listed in Plan.
- Ensure that clients eat balanced meals according to the planned.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, preparation for the next day, and cleaning their personal spaces.
- Assist clients with doctor’s appointments and recreational activities in the community and at the group
- Support, encourage, motivate, respect, help, teach, assist and train individuals with all daily needs required for self- actualization.
- Transport clients to and from various places according to daily schedules.
- Monitor and report the condition of vehicles and all other machinery of the company.
- Staff will assist in the maintenance of the home inside and outside.
- Complete laundry, vacuum and mop floors, clean the refrigerator and dust as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and staff verbally and in writing.
- Meet the basic personnel requirements for Criminal History, CPS, DMV record checks, and Registry checks
- Obtain an evaluation indicating the absence of TB in a communicable
- Ability to interact with families in a positive, supportive, and professional
- Availability to work various hours and shifts, both day and night;
- Must have reliable/available transportation, maintain a valid/acceptable driving record/license and be able to produce proof of vehicle insurance
- Maintain an active telephone number for required contacts.
- Position may require lifting, running, and kneeling, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
