Job Description
Role : API Tester
Location :100% Remote(Canada)
Contract:12 months
Job Description:
3-5 years automation Test experience and backend automation specifically data
Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments
Experience with all phases of software testing including test planning, functional, regression, end-to-end, performance, usability, module integration, and server-side API testing
Experience in writing, executing, and monitoring automated test suites
Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM
Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment, multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner
Ability to acquire knowledge necessary to perform job assignments (technology, product and process)
Excellent communication, time management, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Have experience working with APIs
Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools, such as Jenkins, to create and maintain automation and manual testing infrastructure
Experience with SDLC and tooling, such as GIT, branching/merging, build systems, and continuous integration
Testing Data Pipelines covering validations, derivations, transformations etc.
Experience testing all layers of a web application, including front-end, service layer, and back-end connection testing
Strong comprehension of Automated Testing Implementation and Strategies

Responsibilities:
QA automation and framework development
Create API testing plan, Test strategies for Programs, manage stakeholder expectations, manage risks and issues, report statuses, defect management
Analyze business user needs and then design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation framework in an Agile Scrum development environment
Design, develop and implement a scalable test automation framework and strategy using Cucumber
Automation testing of APIs
Oversee the design and development of automation testing frameworks for back-end API services
Design, develop and implement test automation framework using Selenium Web Driver
