Pan American Berry Growers (PBG), a People First leader in the Blueberry growing and packing Industry, based in Salem Oregon, is seeking a full-time, collaborative, motivated, and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team!

Responsibilities & Duties:

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Compile payroll data such as hours worked and piecework to calculate gross wages.
- Process hourly & salary payroll for 60 Full-Time Oregon & Washington employees.
- Processing of high-volume weekly payroll during seasonal harvest season (June-October) payroll for over 600 employees hourly, piece-rate and salary.
- Record accurate timely changes affecting net wages such as taxes, exemptions, 401K, insurance coverage, deductions for each employee.
- Maintain accuracy in the payroll system and employee files for all deductions.
- Record data concerning transfer of employees between departments.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly annual reports and reconciliations of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
- Create payroll data reports for Leadership and Accounting teams.
- Reconcile all payroll reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Assures and promotes effective communication between departments and key personnel with timely collaboration with Leadership Team members.
- Works directly with Director of Operations, HR and Leadership Team members to ensure implementation of all regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Collaboration and Communication is Key to excel at PBG.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
- 2 years of payroll processing experience with an agricultural background preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Bilingual/Conversational Spanish is highly desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with Paychex payroll processing a plus!
