Panel Control Inc.(PCI) is currently hiring a Control Panel Project Manager to join our growing team. This position manages all aspects of project work from inception to the conclusion of building electrical control panels for industrial equipment.
Essential Duties
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responds professionally and timely to customer and PCI Management inquiries regarding projects and requests for quotes. Prepares quotes for customers by understanding customer requirements, reading electrical schematics, and determining bill of material and labor requirements necessary to complete the job.
- Completes quoting documentation, bill of materials detail and job worksheet information to coincide with the job requirements.
- Communicates project needs and progress to management, customers, and co-workers.
- Works closely with the Production Supervisor to coordinate staffing schedules to ensure work is effectively and efficiently planned to meet customer deadlines.
- Works closely with vendors and the PCI Purchasing Manager to obtain quotes for materials.
- Works closely with the PCI Inventory Control Coordinator to ensure timely receipt of job materials and accurate stock inventory transfers to the job.
- Proactively reviews active job reports to ensure the jobs come in under budget and meet deployed project financial targets.
- Provides highly skilled technical and management recommendations to assist department management and personnel.
- Uses problem solving/analytical skills to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
- No direct supervisory duties, though management of projects includes directing project related activities of the project team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned or as needed.
- This position occasionally requires long hours and some weekend work.
- Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out-of-the-area and overnight travel.
- Assist with special projects as directed.
Experience and Requirements
- Basic to Intermediate Computer Skills.
- Working knowledge or ability to learn Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong Communication Skills Required to Interact with Customers and Co-Workers.
- Ability to understand and work from electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology required.
- Must be very detailed oriented and strive to achieve high quality results.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, and adhere to written procedures.
- Professionalism, a positive attitude and willingness to work as a team.
- Must be able to simultaneously handle the demands of internal and external customers.
