Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Serve as part of the team which supports all of Panera’s key initiatives, analyzes and reports on ongoing business performance and produces financial plans and monthly, quarterly, annual and multi-year forecasts in one of the following areas:
- Participate in annual operating and financial planning with emphasis on annual plans reflecting critical strategic initiatives
- Participate in monthly and quarterly, as well as annual and multi-year financial forecasts, typically working with broader organization to understand and test key forecast assumptions and run alternate scenarios.
- Partner with CFO and senior leadership to create presentations that shape the narrative for the organization, both from a financial perspective as well as the overall direction of the company, that are presented to JAB and the Board of Directors
- Lead ad-hoc projects analyzing strategic financial issues to drive key business decisions
- Lead ongoing analysis of business results, focused on key insights and action items, identifying and elevating potential issues
- Build strong working relationships within the company and across Panera Brands
Qualifications:
- An MBA and 5 years in either a corporate finance or planning role, an accounting firm, investment banking or consulting firm, or a bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of demonstrated quantitative and finance skills in educational and professional records
- Expertise with Microsoft PowerPoint, proficiency in Excel and other analytical software, familiarity with dashboard and data visualization packages,
- Personal commitment to excellence and appetite for success
- Great sense of judgment and the humility to ask for advice.
