Job Title: Service Manager
Work Hours: 7:30-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, some weeknights/weekends
Reports to: Director of Production
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Organizational skills
- Customer service skills
- Three years related experience and/or training in customer service, management in a service industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of the HVAC industry is recommended, but not required
Duties:
- Responsible for the profitability of the service department
- Responsible for making sure all service technicians are properly trained
- Review all service invoices daily to verify accurate billing, necessary parts have been ordered and return trips are scheduled
- Make sure that service technician’s invoices are detailed in a thorough manner so the customer understands the service(s) rendered and that the problem was taken care of
- Perform QuickBooks sync
- Order parts as needed and have dispatcher schedule timely repairs.
-Review all warranty invoices, making sure that all valid warranty issues are being addressed to the vendor, parts, misc. field materials and labor
- Oversee the service schedule to ensure efficiency and provide support to administrative staff
- Technician profitability reporting
- Help service technicians in the field when appropriate
- Make sure that all service vehicles are clean, stocked and running properly
- Monthly vehicle and tool inspections
- Maintenance of service inventory stock
- Customer service
- Quote large repair jobs and obtain approval from customers
- Assist with performance reviews
- Refrigerant tracking
- Assist with collections
- Maintain and approve on call schedule
- Technical analysis for customer questions/phone calls
- Other duties as assigned
