What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Manager - Digital Banking position at Panther IT?
The Product Manager for Digital Banking will drive the company’s strategic initiatives, aligning product offerings with measurable client and business outcomes. By defining an actionable product strategy and building relationships with business leaders, the Product Manager will integrate product and business strategies to deliver value.
To deliver value, the Product Manager will craft and present business cases for product epics, document requirements for product features, and communicate ideas through presentations and appropriate artifacts. Collaborating with functional leaders and subject matter experts, they will ensure timely, business-ready product releases. Utilizing customer understanding and proven technologies, the Product Manager will identify and implement innovative solutions that meet client needs.
To measure success, the Product Manager will define and continuously monitor product and client experience metrics to ensure value capture. Supporting sales and marketing, they will ensure clear messaging and effective business-building tactics, reinforcing First Command's position as the leader in financial services for our Nation’s military families and driving company growth.
What will you be doing?
Product Vision And Strategy
- Define an actionable product strategy and roadmap prioritized by measurable client and business outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with business leaders to align product strategy with business strategy.
- Collaborate with CX and UX teams to conduct qualitative and quantitative customer research to gather insight and understand personas and needs.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and relevant innovative propositions to identify new opportunities.
Proposition Development And Delivery
- Write and present the business case for digital products and related opportunities.
- Document product feature requirements and artifacts to support the product development process.
- Clearly communicate compelling ideas (using presentations, wireframes, prototypes, etc.) to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Collaborate with System and Solution Architect/Engineering to jointly sequence the Architectural Runway that will host new business functionality.
- Collaborate with First Command functional leaders (e.g. Training, Adoption, Change-Management, Marketing, etc.) and subject matter experts to ensure features are released in a business-ready and timely manner.
- Collaborate with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and third-parties (as applicable) to build the required features.
What skill/qualifications do you need?
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (may consider experience in lieu of degree)
- Master’s degree preferred
Work Experience
- Consumer Banking and/or Commercial Banking experience, including an understanding of industry digital trends and technology stacks
- Experience with Banking Platforms such as Jack Henry’s Banno and Silverlake (preferred), Fiserv Architect, FIS Payments One, etc.
- Product management experience, including going through a full product lifecycle (from launch to maturity)
- Previous experience in technical product development is desirable
- Related technology background is desirable, particularly in the area of digital experience platforms and web and mobile technologies
- Agile and/or Scaled-Agile (SAFe) experience
Certifications
