This position provides financial support to the Papa John's North America Restaurants. This support will occur via modeling, budgeting, and analysis. Innovative and adaptive thinking about processes, procedures and results is required. This position will have a full view of the North America Restaurants P&L and will have exposure to senior leadership within the Operations and overall corporation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports and analysis • Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and provide related analytics for North America Restaurants. • Support team with special projects and ad hoc requests aimed at better understanding and improving sales and profitability. • Develop new analysis to help drive business performance • Perform financial analysis i.e., profit/loss accounts and actual vs. budget performance • Support North America Restaurants store unit economics, cost and margin analysis • Assist in preparation of annual budgets. • Participate and assist in preparation of monthly forecast • Works with General Accounting on monthly journal entries • Review and follow-up on financial questions from leadership • Provide recommendations on changes in processes to create greater efficiency, drive revenues and/or lower cost. • Special projects as assigned POSITION QUALIFICATIONS. FUNCTIONAL SKILLS Working knowledge of accounting/financial theory and practice. Demonstrated financial modeling, analytical and research skills. Proficient PC skills and experience with financial applications – Excel, Word, Power Point and Access Working knowledge of budgets helpful. Advanced Excel skills, including the use of functions and the ability to present detailed information in a concise manner Experience with financial applications (Hyperion Financial Management, Essbase, PeopleSoft Financials, Tableau) EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in financial analysis, reporting and/or budgeting at a corporate level preferred. CPA, CMA, CFM or MBA helpful. Restaurant Industry experience preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, repetitive use (or motion) of arms and hands, bend and stoop, and lift up to 10 pounds.
