Position Overview: We are seeking an Art Director who is a high performing designer that is looking to bring their business acumen, leadership, and hands-on design skills to a high impact role. The Art Director will champion Papa Murphys commitment to quality, service, integrity, and teamwork by:

  • Work directly with Marketing Operations, Creative Director, Brand Marketing and Field Marketing in the development and design of marketing materials.
  • Serve as the digital design partner with internal digital team to ensure brand standards and create/manage a consistent and trend focused digital user experience on digital channels.

-Partner with digital team to design and develop graphics for digital platforms -i.e., Facebook, Instagram and email campaigns using testing and data to drive desired end-user experience.

-Design and direct cohesive graphic assets/campaigns to work across and support multiple channel types - including, but not limited to, quarterly marketing kits, digital advertising, social media, posters, menu graphics, print, email, social, outdoor, and other promotional materials.

  • Direct studio production team on the execution of local store advertising.
  • Work with outside vendors to ensure completion of projects.
  • Proof materials prior to release to vendors.
  • Create local store marketing ad templates.
  • Manage the photo/asset library (Master-level Photoshop work for finalizing of photography assets).
  • Annually, evaluate studio digital skills and platform. Provide opportunity plan.
  • Learn new systems and train team members on these programs.
  • Maintain graphic files on the PMI website(s).
  • Work closely with other PMI departments on designated communication projects.
  • Maintain and update artwork archives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Strategic, creative thinking and design that inspires partners and team members to raise the creative bar within brand standards
  • Strong creative vision with attention to business objective
  • Use data and insights to develop creative that resonates across multiple platforms (Digital/Print/POP)
  • Excellent print and digital design skills. Ability to create strategic and conceptual design.

-Professional level layout and design, working knowledge of simple animation (animated gifs - Adobe After Effects), CMYK and Pantone spot color, and strong typography skills and fonts.

  • Self-starter! Manage your own projects and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards to meet PMI deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to explain concepts and rationale for designs to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience leading and directing other creative team members.
  • Professional experience producing and preparing print and digital art files.
  • Proven technical skills in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

Foundations of your career:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 5 years graphic/production related work at an ad agency or an in-house creative studio.
  • 1 years demonstrated leadership/managerial skills
  • Photography skills a plus
  • Retail design portfolio to review (samples a plus)

-Demonstrated track record producing effective and high- quality marketing materials.
