The Role
Reporting to the VP, Treasurer, you will be responsible for leading and supporting day-to-day activities in the working capital finance, cash management and credit areas. You will manage a team of six treasury professionals spread across two locations and will continue to grow the team as the company grows. You will be responsible for supervising the daily administration of intermediation and ABL working capital facilities with our banks, and for continuous improvement efforts around inventory financing and working capital optimization. As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will:
- Oversee daily treasury operations, including cash positioning, forecasting, liquidity reporting, quarterly debt reporting and compliance.
- Supervise all credit functions and initiatives such as annual credit reviews, customer setup and deal by deal exposure management.
- Manage and expand relationships with commercial banks, and monitor covenant requirements across multiple credit/loan agreements.
- Assist the Treasurer and CFO with a wide variety of financial analyses including cash and liquidity trends, M&A activity, and refinancing projects.
Duties will include:
- Interfacing with producers and trade houses to negotiate open credit and LC posting requirements.
- Monitoring daily intermediation agreement reporting, invoicing and payments to optimize liquidity.
- Supervising company-wide cash management and cash positioning.
- Overseeing the interaction with business and financial partners regarding cash management, credit borrowings, financial data interface, authority levels, letters of credit, and investment accounts.
- Supervising cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization in coordination with commercial teams.
- Supervising credit risk management related activity including credit reviews, credit line assignments and customer prepay decisions.
- Ensuring that applicable policies and procedures meet with the company's objectives, needs and regulatory requirements.
- Performing other duties as requested and assigned.

The Requirements
To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Assistant Treasurer opportunity, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance or similar required
- 8 years of relevant trade finance and/or treasury experience required, preferably within the energy industry.
- Experience managing a team of professionals is highly preferred, including employees working remotely.
- Strong cash management experience is preferred but not required
- Demonstrated computer skills, including:
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite programs, specifically PowerPoint and Excel (ability to create complex/compound spreadsheets, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- SAP knowledge, and Treasury workstation experience a plus
- Experience with customer credit analysis and review of financial statements and industry data in determining credit worthiness and establishing customer credit lines.
- Ability to effectively learn any software you may not know
- Experience and capability of interacting will all levels of an organization and external clients, vendors and bankers
