What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at Paradigm Metals, Inc.?
Provide CNC programming support for machining operations manufacturing according to customer specifications.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop programs for fabrication of machined parts on three, four and five axis machines.
· Write and/or edit programs, troubleshoot CNC production issues and provide technical advice for machine setup.
· Prepare work instructions for machine set-up and operations for machinist.
· Identify and resolve logical program errors.
· Complete and maintain program documentation and file system.
· Respond to short lead times from customer to ensure operations run at full capacity at all times.
· At times, work with Engineering department on NPI specifications as it relates to capabilities of machines and production.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or GED; five to seven years related work experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Five to seven years’ experience of CNC programming using Mastercam.
· Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems is essential.
· Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required.
CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Working knowledge of Mastercam.
· Excellent communications skills both written and oral.
· Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
· Able to work with various departments and interact with diverse personalities.
