Licensed Nurse

Responsible for the supervision of team members assigned to you and, working together,
provide the services of your department to each resident of The Assisted Living Community. All
of your activities must maintain a holistic perspective of service and total care of all residents.
Accountable to supervise and monitor the performance of each team member under your
supervision to make certain that the care and services to each resident are delivered in a
continuous, predictable and efficient manner. Coordinate and communicate with all other team
members of The Assisted Living Community in maintaining a holistic perspective of service and
care.
Lead by example and make certain that the programs and services lead by you, maximize each
residents quality of life, identity, interests, abilities and preferences.
Report to the Care Coordinator emergencies all team members who require training, guidance
or discipline greater than you are capable of or authorized to provide and report any observable
changes in all residents’ behavior or health status that would indicate a change in their care plan.
Follow and actively participate in all resident orientation practices and procedures which have
been and will continually be developed to ease the disorientation, confusion, and withdrawal, for
each new resident. Remain as closely involved as possible in all activities of the residents to
ease their anxiety while they become accustomed to their new and unfamiliar living environment.
Explain the amenities, routines, and expectations of The Assisted Living Community and your
department and discuss their unique needs and preferences with them as often as necessary to
ease their transition.
Participate in all required training, orientation, meetings and programs offered by employer.
Personally get to know the residents by communicating with other team members and through
direct conversation with residents.
Participate in formal and informal discussions to identify concerns and confirm recommended
actions that reinforce each residents full potential to live independently and age in place
graciously. Coordinate and communicate with all other team members in maintaining a holistic
perspective of care for each resident.
Encourage and motivate residents to do as much for them-selves as possible but take time, if
necessary to assist when required. Promptly discuss and resolve any potential care or service
problems with all involved team members and supervisors.
