What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at Paradise Group USA?
Paradise F&B Management is one of the brands under Paradise Group USA. Paradise Group houses a total of 11 culinary concepts across 9 countries, serving customers at close to 50 restaurants in Singapore and more than 60 restaurants worldwide.
The accounting assistant will keep financial records, prepare reports, and update financial information. The ideal candidate will be able to process business transactions, handle accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, receipts, and other financial matters. Proven accounting experience required.
Responsibilities:
- Process all bills from vendors and arrange payment according to the credit terms agreed
- Checking and verifying all bills according to company SOP and reconciliation
- Assist in warehouse inventory controls: review stock take listing provided by other officers (actively take part in stock take activities regularly)
- Conduct monthly restaurant stock take (1stof the month)
- Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
- Research and resourcing potential vendors for maintaining, purchasing and others
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
- Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and sales tax computations
- Reconciles various expenditure reports to source documents; distributes and files financial documents and reports
- Key liaison with vendor on account opening, credit term application and review, Statement of account reconciliation and various resolution
- Type accurately, prepare, filing and maintain accounting documents and records
- Handling and assisting all government legal documents such as license applications
- Keep a thorough record of business transactions and enter data from daily work logs into the company’s general ledger system
- Perform all basic accounting procedures journal entries and general ledger maintenance, inventory roll forwards, and fixed assets and margin analysis; preparing supporting schedules for financial statements preparation
- Assist in monthly financial statement preparation and other operations analysis reports
- Working with Singapore HQ, handle the AR, AP, GL works according to the regulation and group accounting policy
- Conduct daily revenue and collection reconciliation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field preferred
- Mandarin preferred
- Minimum 1 years post-graduated accounting working experience
- Prior accounting experience in F&B Industry is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Work independently
- Multitask efficiently
- High attention to details, ability to take directions, self-check and follow up on work
- Basic knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint or other accounting software
- Ability to apply discretion, trust with confidential company information
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $22.68 per hour
