The Role – Groomer

Let’s put it out there. Working as a groomer in a daycare and boarding environment takes finesse and flexibility. Our environment consists of scheduled and at times non-scheduled boarding go home services. In this role, you will help us to build our full-service grooming, providing breed-specific haircuts and baths for current and new Paradise Pet Resort customers.

Responsibilities:
- Groom and style pets according to client specifications and breed standards
- Bathe, brush, and trim pets' fur or hair
- Clean and maintain grooming tools and equipment
- Provide basic grooming services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing
- Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or abnormalities during the grooming process
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets in the grooming area
- Communicate with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and address any concerns

Experience:
- Previous experience working as a pet groomer or in a related field such as veterinary assistant, animal care, or dog training is preferred
- Knowledge of different dog breeds and their specific grooming needs
- Familiarity with grooming tools and equipment
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing

Pay: From $49,617.00 per year
