This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing manufacturing company that distributes globally. Summary of Position:
A Document Control Specialist is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining documents and records within an organization. Their primary role is to ensure that documents are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to authorized personnel while also maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures that documents meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Maintain records of document changes, approvals, and revisions which is essential for auditing purposes and regulatory compliance.
Create, edit, and proofread quality related documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), batch records, specifications, and work instructions as required.
Prepare test reports or certificate of analysis in compliance with company procedures and requirements.
Review, format, track, and issue Controlled cGMP documents including protocols, test records and forms as required.
Work closely with department heads to ensure that all employees are trained in relevant SOPs and document control procedures.
Issue final test report or certificate of analysis to client as requested.
Review manufacturing records.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED required.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Must be a proactive, self-starter with a results-oriented focus.
Knowledge and expertise in principles and practice of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
