Department: Paragon Fleet Maintenance Group Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: Stevens Transport/Paragon Leasing, LP fully services heavy-duty commercial tractors and trailers out of our Dallas, Texas terminal and is hiring Truck Body Technicians to perform a various major and minor structural repair on diesel trucks, including frames, fiberglass, and sheet metal replacement. JOB DESCRIPTION: Key Responsibilities Collision repair Fabrication and welding Bondo work Installation and alignment of cab components Repairing damage to fiberglass, composites, steel, and aluminum Windshield replacements Priming, sealing, and painting Replacing fenders, panels, bumpers, and other body parts QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications You must have your own tools 6 years doing Bondo work 6 years in collision repair Collision repair certification a plus Preferred Qualifications Collision repair experience on Kenworth, Freightliner, and Peterbilt trucks. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Bondo Collision Fabrication Welding Installation Priming Sealing Painting PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Maneuvering around, in, on, and under trucks/tight spaces to properly inspect and diagnose problems Standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body movements Using hands to handle, control or feel Climbing ladders, stairs, and platforms Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds The work environment includes exposure to high decibels of noise, temperature, weather variations, metal welding processes and chemicals which may include solvents, undercoating, paint, and caulking.
