Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

This position consist in the repairs and maintains plastic molding machinery and electro-mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems, electrical devices and production machines and equipment. 

Responsibilities/Duties: 

• Perform and complete hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting.
• Repair of molding machines, supporting equipment and facility repair.
• Installation of new assets, electric, plumbing and mechanical along with building auxiliary  equipment repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance of assigned functions.
• Maintain assembly production equipment on a daily basis to ensure they are running to optimum performance.
• Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Uses hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and electrical testing equipment. 
• Communicate real time status of Assembly operations with Team Leader throughout the shift.
• Make necessary and/ or routine machine adjustments and to repair equipment in an effort to provide continuous production.
• Responsible for knowing how to operate all machines and equipment in order to understand their function and repair them
• Responsible for making tooling changes (size) within a reasonable amount of time.
• Performs other duties as assigned by immediate management.
• Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches and other electrical parts and equipment.
• Initiates purchase order for parts and machines, lubricates, and cleans parts, start devices to test their performance.
• Required to participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as required.
• Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.

Requirements:

• 3 years experience in the role
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Full and complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Must have strong PLC troubleshooting capability and ability to read and program code.
• Must have good working knowledge of all aspects of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and heating, ventilating and air conditioning related control systems.
• Experience with Injection Molding for plastic packaging for industrial use.

Work Schedule
1st Shift
7:00AM to 7:15PM (Rotating Schedule)

Compensation:
• $32/hr. to $35/hr. – Depending on Experience (DOE)
