Paramark Corp, a growing property management company based in Rochester, MN with properties in MN, WI, IA, IL, CO, and ND. We are seeking a full-time Facility Service Technician to join our team to support properties in the Rochester, MN Area. This 40 hours per week position will start as soon as possible, and you must pass our criminal and driving background check.
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to follow direction and work with other and minimal supervision
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers
- Comfortable with using technology
- Professional in demeanor and appearance
- Valid driver's license, insurable
- Required after hours on call at times
Job Qualifications Preferred:
- Experience in commercial or equivalent setting
- Working knowledge of HVAC system controls and building automation systems (BAS)
- Low Pressure class C boilers license: prefer 2nd class, minimum special license or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Trade school in related fields; Building Utility Mechanic graduate or equal, HVAC training graduate
Job Duties:
- Perform grounds functions as assigned.
- Perform daily inspection (inside and out) of facility to identify deficiencies.
- Completes work orders, as assigned, in a timely manner.
- Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and annual task logs.
- Orders and maintains proper inventory levels for preventative maintenance task.
- Contact and schedule vendors to perform work that cannot be performed by facility services staff.
- Performs preventative maintenance on building systems.
- Performs repairs on building
- Required to perform job duties in a safe manner that is compliant with all Paramark and OSHA safety requirements.
- Inspect and complete daily boiler log as required.
Additional Requirements:
The Facility Services Technician position requires an individual to work in many environments. Work environments consists of but are not limited to the following; hot, humid, cold, windy, slippery, noisy, inside mechanical rooms or spaces that have a lot of moving air, on ladders, in lifts, on roofs, in tunnels, in and around sewage, handling and dispersing chemicals for treatment of mechanical systems, outside in any and all weather elements including snow/ice, and in areas with minimal space to perform functions of job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to; walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and/or arms, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, talk, listen, and smell. The employee is regularly required to stand, climb, or balance.
The employee can expect to regularly communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and customers through many forms of communications. Communication tools used is face to face conversation, telephone conversation, texting, or email.
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to dust, gas, fumes, chemicals (toxic or caustic), regular lifting of 25 - 50 lbs., occasional lifting of 50 lbs., and dirty/rusty metals.
