What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Paramelt?
Performs routine accounting and bookkeeping functions, including financial record keeping, reconciling statements, report preparation and payroll administration. Oversees accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable and other general ledger account reconciliations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepares and posts standard and manual journal entries.
- Analyzes and reconciles the General Ledger.
- Coordinates month-end closing schedule.
- Assures accuracy of monthly financial disclosures in compliance with company guidelines.
- Maintains company records for fixed assets through Oracle.
- Oversees accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and cash reconciliation.
- Applies receipts, initiates ACH and wire payments as needed.
- Communicates all issues and standards compliance with Controller.
- Verifies raw material pricing and notifies the purchasing and receiving departments with any discrepancies through Oracles three-way match process.
- Prepares year end audit schedules for third party audit firm.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting plus three to five years’ experience preferred. Manufacturing experience a plus.

- Strong financial aptitude, able to analyze financial information and interpret financial reports.

Salary : $52,100 - $66,000
