Quality assurance specialist

Position Summary

This position will monitor the Quality Management Systems in place for Paramelt and will perform a variety of tasks to ensure quality and process control systems, procedures and documentation are properly followed, tracked, and documented across various departments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists in batch records review and data entry into applicable spreadsheets.
  • Tracks and updates process information changes.
  • Identifies and tracks production anomalies.
  • Maintains logs, computer databases and other documents to record and report various sets of data (including production equipment usage).
  • Reviews activities and documentation generated on the production floor (daily walk throughs).
  • Assists in the investigation of internal and external customer complaints and deviations.
  • Supports the creation and tracking of Quality Alerts through their lifecycle.
  • Assists in trending of applicable Quality Objectives.
  • Supports the development of applicable training.
  • Participates in the company’s internal audits, including training of the new auditors.
  • Assists the Quality Manager with compliance activities as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

High school graduate required. College degree preferred in a related field of study and / or at least two years of professional experience, preferably within a like industry.

Other Qualifications

  • Personal integrity and ability to conduct themselves and their job responsibilities in an ethical and non-discriminatory manner.
  • Experience with ISO 9001-2015 requirements and / or a comparable regulated manufacturing standard.
  • Experience with quality data entry into ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
  • Strong computer skills, including the use of : Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Determination and assertiveness to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to push the organization to improve.
