Certified Nursing Assistant Rates
Weekday Standard Rate — $21.00 per hour
Weekend Differential — $23.00 per hour
Job Description
- Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patients' needs and responses to, care rendered for daily activities
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight, testing urine, and recording intake and output information.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license without any felonies or active investigations noted on your license
- Must hold current CNA certification in the state of practice
- Must be in good physical health to be able to lift and move patients and to be able to walk or stand for prolonged periods
- Prior work experience in a direct patient care setting or a long-term care facility preferred.
- Active CNA license without any felonies or active investigations noted on your license.
- One year of experience working in a Nursing Home.
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Physical Requirements
- Able to bend and stand an average of 6 hours per day.
- Lift up to 50-75 pounds.
- Able to write up to 3 hours per day.
- Able to work in a stressful environment.
- Able to assess and communicate with all ill patients, co-workers, and the public.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
All Nurses must complete general nursing orientation, department-specific nursing orientation, education, and competencies with demonstrated proficiency upon hire when duties are modified annually.
