We are looking to fill a Scientist 3 - Upstream Processing Scientist position working as a full-time employee of ExecuPharm / Parexel FSP on long-term assignment onsite at one of our clients located in Kenilworth, NJ. Qualifications
- BS with 3-5 years’ of experience
- MS with at least 1 year of experience
Required Skills and Experience
- The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of small scale and/or large-scale bioprocess experience, including cell culture and/or microbial fermentation
- Able to work well with others and communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities
- Must be able to do early morning and some weekend work
- Support small scale bioreactors set up, sterilization, probe calibrations and harvests to enable upstream process development deliveries
- Assist in sampling of bioreactors if needed
- Document process steps electronically
- Enter process data into database
- Troubleshoot equipment and do minor repairs
- Draft training materials
- Using safe laboratory practices and for maintaining the work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
