EMERGENCY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN PRN

Horizon Health is looking for a PRN Emergency Medicine Physician to join our Emergency Department team.

We are a 25-bed critical access hospital and group of rural health clinics, but much larger in scope and size than typical rural organizations. We have cutting-edge technology, new offerings for the communities we serve, strong specialty support, and still have the small-town approach and values that make our organization so special.

Position Details:

• Must be Emergency Medicine residency trained
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• 3 Years of experience preferred in Emergency Medicine
• Customer Service-oriented with team approach to care preferred
• 24-hour shifts with single physician coverage with a supportive and experienced ED team
• Competitive hourly rate as a 1099 contractor; this rate includes travel
• Hospital provides malpractice with tail, lodging, and meals while on shift. Hospital does provided lodging in between shifts.
• 24/7 Hospitalist coverage
• Athena EMR
• Our ED averages 9,000 patients a year and continues to grow. We have expansion plans to meet the growing needs.
• Patient navigation, mobile integrated health program, and our own EMS are just a few of the ways we ensure our patients are taken care of before and after an Emergency Department visit.

The Hospital is supported by a Primary Care group with 19 primary care physicians and providers, with specialty support in behavioral health, women’s services, general surgery, orthopedics, spine, pain, dermatology, podiatry, endocrinology, wound care, and cardiology. Additionally, we have 12 visiting specialists that see patients in the clinic each month. The hospital has a 24/7 hospitalist service and convenient care for patients. We have a physician friendly EMR. In 2023, we completed expansion projects including adding an outpatient dialysis center, home health services, pre-anesthesia clinic, and cutting-edge radiology updates.
