Hot Melt Supervisor

Job Summary

Responsible for the safety of employees and creating a work environment that supports the Company's mission of providing a wonderful experience for our customers. The Hot Melt Supervisor is an advocate of Park's culture and its values and is responsible for communicating the company's culture and values to all employees in manufacturing. Works to improve P&L, meet production and budget goals, implement process and technology improvements, increase capacity utilization, and support R&D and Sales in product improvements. Plans, coordinates, and controls all elements of manufacturing to include staffing, equipment logistics, technical support and work methods.

Essential Job Functions

• Analyzes personnel and capital resources and select the best method to meet production goals, monitor product standards, establish and maintain standards and product improvement. Coordinates with purchasing to insure quality standards are met and insure that inventory levels are maintained.
• Reviews operational performance against annual operating targets and production levels. Monitors manufacturing gross margin and drive efforts to improve.
• Drives programs to continually reduce manufacturing cycle time and maximize inventory turns.
• Leads efforts to optimize plant capabilities as needed to support our customer's needs.
• Delegates appropriate authority/responsibility and hold employees accountable for performance. Insures that duties, responsibilities, authority and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.

Other Job Duties

• Manage production and allocation of manpower, and equipment/tooling to satisfy customer orders and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with development and sales to improve existing products and develop new materials that can be supplied on a competitive basis and which contribute to the overall profits of the organization.

Education/Experience/Skills Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related disciplines is preferred or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least five (3) years' experience in operations management, preferable in the Aerospace or the Advance Composite industry.
• Demonstrated organizational, planning, management and progressive leadership skills.
• AS9100 and NADCAP experience Preferred.
• Proficiency in computer software application (MS Office).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
